Propane Facts
- Propane is non-toxic, colorless and odorless. But just like natural gas, an identifying odor is added so it can readily detected.
- It is safe for use indoors due its' minimal emissions. As a result, nearly 500,000 forklift trucks are powered by propane. Bus, taxi and delivery fleets are using propane to minimize their air pollution.
- Used where natural gas mains do not exist.
- Easy to transport. It is 270 times more compact than gas, making it more economical to transport and store as a liquid.
