W ith the frenzy of drilling across our nation, natural gas has become more affordable and costs less than half of what it used to 10 years ago.
Electricity is falling as well. Because the generation of electricity costs less, it trickles down to businesses and consumers.
The reduction of costs on energy bills leads business owners to think they could grow their workforce if the savings continues.

We've all heard the joke "how many people does it take to change a lightbulb", but I never realized how many different ways we could power a lightbulb. Thanks to this handy dandy chart from Good, it spells out how much coal, nuclear, natural gas, wind, solar and hydroelectric it takes to brighten our day.

Electric cars continue to grow popularity within the industry and the public. Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) is increasing in popularity with applications for both business and the general public. There are many reasons for the spike in interest. The AMERIgreen staff is celebrating Earth Day this year by updating our pledges from last year to help the planet for future generations.
Our AMERIgreen “Pledge Tree” has found its’ new home in our lobby beside our cow (don’t ask). A nice tie-in with Earth Day for us was our community volunteer day held at Friendship Community, a non-profit care facility which supports adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Perched a-top a hill in Manheim, PA sits Pleasant View Retirement Community, an active and growing senior-living community. As they planned to expand their facilities they looked to Worley & Obetz to aid in their conversion from propane and oil as their main energy source to natural gas.
They are experiencing significant savings and residents remain extremely happy and comfortable with the energy switch.
